Developer Policy

1. Introduction
‍This Developer Policy (“Policy”) governs the development and use of applications and services that integrate with the Cashful APIs (“APIs”). By using our APIs, you (“Developer,” “you,” “your”) agree to comply with this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, you may not use our APIs.

‍2. API Access and Use
‍• API Keys: Developers must register for an account to obtain API keys. API keys are unique to your account and must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all activities that occur using your API keys.
• Permitted Uses: You may use the APIs to develop, test, and operate applications or services that interact with the Cashful platform. All uses must comply with applicable laws and this Policy.

‍3. Developer Responsibilities
‍• Compliance: Developers are responsible for ensuring that their applications comply with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations.
• Security: Developers must implement industry-standard security practices to protect the data accessed or transmitted via our APIs. This includes encryption of sensitive data and secure storage of API keys.
• Monitoring: You must monitor the performance and usage of your application to ensure it does not negatively impact the Cashful platform or its users.
• User Data: If your application collects or processes user data, you must obtain clear and informed consent from the users before doing so. You are responsible for the protection of this data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

‍4. Prohibited Activities
‍• Abuse of the API: You may not use the APIs to conduct any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful. This includes but is not limited to, spamming, phishing, and distributing malware.
• Excessive Usage: You must not exceed the usage limits specified in the API documentation. Excessive use of the APIs may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your access.
• Interference: You may not interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the Cashful platform or the APIs, including attempting to bypass any security measures.

‍5. Data Privacy and Security
‍• User Data: Developers are required to handle all user data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Any data collected through the APIs must be used solely for the purposes for which the user has given explicit consent.
• Data Breach: In the event of a data breach involving data accessed or transmitted via the APIs, you must notify Cashful immediately and take all necessary steps to mitigate the breach.

‍6. Branding and Attribution
‍• Brand Use: You may not use the Cashful name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent. Any authorized use must comply with our branding guidelines.
• Attribution: If your application displays data sourced from the Cashful APIs, you must provide appropriate attribution, as specified in the API documentation or branding guidelines.

‍7. Termination of Access
‍• Termination by Cashful: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the APIs at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to, violations of this Policy or any applicable laws.
• Termination by Developer: You may terminate your use of the APIs at any time by discontinuing access and use. Upon termination, you must delete all data obtained through the APIs.

‍8. Updates and Changes to the APIs
‍• API Changes: Cashful reserves the right to modify or discontinue any API, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify developers of any significant changes.
• Policy Updates: We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting the updated Policy on our website or through the API portal. Your continued use of the APIs after the changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

‍9. Liability and Indemnification
‍• No Warranty: The APIs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. Cashful does not warrant that the APIs will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cashful, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the APIs, your breach of this Policy, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
